Incredible Early 1930s 30s Vintage Colour Block Stripes And Spot Dress
This incredible dress was made in the 1930s from crepe with a wonderful stripe and spot pattern. The spotted sections are dark brown with white spots whilst the stripes are a beautiful shade of coral and white which have actually been sewn into pin ticks at the bodice! The coral shade ties in with the draped coral crepe panels running down the sleeves from the shirred and lightly padded shoulders to the cuffs and the coral crepe waist section with integrated tie belt. The fabric has been cleverly used at the neckline to create a chevron shape to the high collarless neckline. The only opening are press studs at the back of the neck (please bear this in mind when considering sizing). This dress really quintessentially screams early to mid 1930s, if Poirot’s Miss Lemon is your style inspiration, then this is absolutely for you!
Bust: 38”
Waist: 35” but can be cinched with attached belt
Hips: 42”
Shoulders: 15” seam to seam
Length: 44”
The dress is in very good condition with only a few small marks and repairs as well as some west to the underarm fabric as pictured. However these blend well into the pattern and are thus barely noticeable. The seams have been subsequently overlocked presumably to present fabric fraying.
