Gorgeous Original 1950s Vintage Green And Teal Plaid House Dress By Dynasty

This wonderful dress was made in the 1950s from lightweight silk in a stunning teal, cream and pink plaid pattern. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with a beautifully nipped waist. The gently rounded collar leads to three beautiful pleated frog closures which fasten the dress at the front alongside poppers that run all the way down the front of the dress. Huge patch pockets at the waist add a practical element and large turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. There is also an original fabric tie belt that can be used to nip the waist in even further and the skirt falls in wonderful voluminous pleats. Inside, the dress is unlined and has a maker’s label for Dynasty Hong Kong.

The dress is in good condition, however there are there areas where patches have been applied from the inside to stabilise repairs. These are expertly pattern matched on the outside and barely noticeable as a result.
