This fabulous coat was made from soft black wool in the late 1940s / early 1950s. It was cut in a classic swing jacket style with gently padded shoulders and a loose open fronted fit. The wide collar runs into long lapel that extend all the way to the hem and there are functional slit pockets at the waist. The inside has been lined in sumptuous black satin and has a maker’s label for Rothmoor as well as a retailer’s label for Jankkel Co.

Shoulders: 15 3/4” seam to seam 

Length: 26”

 

The coat is in very good condition with only two minuscule flaws and a small seam split at the underarm lining.
