Fabulous Original 1940s Green And Purple Micro Check Colour Block Dress
This stunning dress was made from lightweight deep green wool in the 1940s. The bodice features a micro check patterns in green and purple on a cream coloured background. The skirt was cut in a flattering flared style with pleating at the front and made from green wool. Contrasting micro check detailing highlights the skirt pockets at the hip and green fabric detailing adorns the collar and cuffs. The dress fastens with three stunning ornate buttons at the bust and an original metal side zipper. The skirt has a number of inverted pleats at the front centre which give it wonderful movement.

Length: 44 1/2” plus 2 1/2” hem
The dress is in good condition, however there is some discolouration at the back of the collar and the sides of the skirt as well as some faint marks to the micro check fabric and a few seam pops on the back of the skirt (one shown) as pictured.
