Fabulous Original 1940s 40s Vintage Teal Blue Micro Check Belted Princess Coat
This stunning coat was made in the 1940s from a lightweight wool with a micro check pattern in shades of teal, mauve and cream. It was cut in a classic princess coat silhouette with padded shoulders and a elasticated as waist that is cinched in with the original fabric tie belt. The back falls in beautiful large pleats and there are large pockets at the hips. The small collar leads to a single row of five buttons plus a storm button lower down the skirt that fasten the coat. Inside, it is lined in rayon and has a maker’s label for Lady Hampton.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few marks on the sleeve, some fain discolouration inside the collar and some marks to the lining as pictured.
