Fabulous Original 1940s 40s Vintage Bright Green Skirt Suit
This stunning suit was made in the 1940s from a grass green wool gabardine. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The small collar leads to a single row of seven fabric covered buttons and there are mock pockets flaps at the waist. The sides of the blazer are beautifully tailored with lots of intricate shape giving darts. Inside, the jacket is lined in brown crepe and is without maker’s labels. The matching skirt is cut in a flattering longer length and fastens with a metal side zipper and a button closure above.

The suit is in good condition, however there are a number of professional darns as pictured as well as some discolouration to the lining.
