Fabulous Late 1940s 40s / Early 1950s 50s Volup Lightweight Red Atomic Fleck Coat
This fabulous coat was made between the late 1940s and the early 1950s from a red cotton with an atomic fleck in green, black and yellow. It is cut in a classic swing shape which hangs loosely from the shoulders. It would also look great belted at the waist too. The small rounded collar leads to a single row of seven domed buttons which fasten the coat. Four matching buttons are used to decorate each of the huge statement cuffs. Those cuffs are just fabulous and could be worn fully turned up as shown in the pictures or durned up at two buttons for a slightly longer sleeve. There are functional slit pockets at the hips and inside, the coat is lined in salmon faille.
The coat is in very good condition with only a white mark below the collar which is not visible when worn.
