Exquisite Original 1940s Volup Vintage Burgundy Wine Princess Coat
This gorgeous coat was made from burgundy wool in the 1940s. It was cut in the classic fit and flare silhouette of the period with beautiful princess seaming to shape the coat. The strong padded shoulders have been further highlighted by the sharp dagger collar. The coat fastens with four fabric covered buttons in a double breasted arrangement and the waist has been beautifully nipped in with the seam work. Functional pockets add the waist add a practical element and large turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. Inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous burgundy satin with a stunning embossed floral pattern. It feels so luxurious. There is also a maker’s label for American Woolen Co.
