This exquisite skirt suit was made in the 1930s from delicately pattered lilac lace. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the era with a nipped waist and peaked shoulders with a statement caped top. The sharp collar leads to a wrap front that fastens with two fabric covered buttons. The jacket features a flattering W hem that adds visual interest and the appearance of a gentle peplum. Sadly the internal maker’s label has long since frayed and been lost. The matching skirt comes in an elegant longer 1930s length and fastens with poppers at the side.
