RESERVED FOR LISA - Classic 1940s 40s Original Vintage Black Gabardine Swing Coat
This fabulous coat was made from jet black gabardine in the 1940s. It was cut in a classic swing coat style with strong padded shoulders and a flowing loose fit. The sharp collar leads to a single fabric covered button that fastens the coat at the neck. The functional waist pockets have been adorned with arrow tabs and the button decorated turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. Four matching but smaller arrow vents have been placed diagonally on the back seams of the coat and add a wonderful design detail. Inside, the coat is lined in black crepe and does not have any maker’s labels.

The coat is in very good condition with only a small repair on the shoulder below the collar and a seam fray to the lining as pictured.
