This incredible coat was made from black wool in the early 1940s. It was cut in a classic princess coat silhouette with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The strong shoulder line is further enhanced by the collarless neckline and large pleats that run from the shoulders to the bust. Clever darting cinched in the waist and allows the skirt to fall with flattering volume. The coat has a sultry femme fatale vibe with exquisite soutache work surrounding the three large buttons at the front. The large flared sleeve have been finished off with turn up cuffs and inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous black satin.
