Amazing Original 1940s 40s Volup Vintage Navy Blue Swing Coat With Beaded Soutache Collar And Cuffs
This exquisite coat was made in the 1940s from navy blue wool crepe. It was cut in the classic silhouette of the period with strong padded shoulders and a loose fit below. The sharp collar has been adorned with intricate soutache and gear work, which has been mirrored on the turn up cuffs. Triangular panel details decorate the dudes if the bust and add a real design statement to the piece and small slit pockets give a practical element. The coat fastens with three buttons at the front and is lined in sumptuous silk satin.

The coat is in good condition externally with only a few small nibbles and a very faint mark as pictured. However there is some discolouration and damage to the lining, which fortunately is not visible when worn.
