Amazing Bright Turquoise Original 1940s 40s Vintage Belted Swing Coat With Arrow Details

This amazing coat was made from a rich turquoise wool in the 1940s. It is a true unicorn piece in such a vibrant shade. The back of the coat was cut to fall in a flattering loose swing style and has been adorned with arrow embroidery which, when combined with the incredible panel work, emphasises the strong lines of the coat. The shoulders are padded for that classic 1940s silhouette and the coat features an integral fabric belt that fastens at the front but runs inside the coat at the back, giving it that amazing swing fit at the back! A super sharp collar further emphasises the strong shoulders and there is a single fabric covered button at the neck to fasten the coat. Clever darting from the shoulders to the bust adds further shape to the coat and the sleeves have been adorned with matching arrow embroidery. There are small functional slit pockets at the waist and the inside is lined in crepe with the amazing shoulder straps that allow you to wear the coat draped across the shoulders without it sliding off!

The coat is in very good condition with only a few tiny nibbles and marks as pictured. A small section of the hem has dropped, there is a slight underarm seam pop and the lining would benefit from a couple of stitches to secure it to the side of the coat. There is also some discolouration to the inside of the collar and the buttonhole is slightly fraying, neither of which can be seen worn.
