1940s Atomic Fleck Tweed Coat – Strong Shouldered Flecked Tweed Swing Coat
1940s Atomic Fleck Tweed Coat – Strong Shouldered Flecked Tweed Swing Coat
A superb 1940s coat in atomic fleck tweed, cut with the strong, sculpted shoulders the decade is known for. Flecks of red, mustard, orange and soft lavender-blue are woven through a grey and cream ground, giving the cloth real depth and shifting colour in the light. The fabric does the talking, and the tailoring is every bit as good.
The shoulders are boldly structured with a gently gathered sleeve head, balanced by a neat rounded collar and fabric-covered buttons. Generous flapped patch pockets sit low on the hips, each finished with its own covered button, and the cuffed sleeves add a smart, practical detail. A wonderful coat for lovers of 1940s outerwear and classic tweed.
