Super Rare Original 1940s Vintage Super Soft Tan Suede Belted Coat
This exceptional coat was made in the 1940s from super soft tan suede. It was cut in the classic trench coat silhouette of the period with padded shoulders and a waist that can be cinched in with the original suede belt. The sharp collar draws attention to the trench coat style seam and button work at the shoulders and matching buttons fasten the coat at the front. Beautiful dart work nips in the waist and huge patch pockets at the hip add a practical feature. Inside, the coat is lined in rayon and has a maker’s label for Leather Craft of Malvern. This really is a stunning and rare piece of period sportswear that would sit as comfortably in a modern wardrobe as it would as part of a vintage outfit.
