Gorgeous Original 1940s Vintage Chocolate Brown Gabardine Skirt Suit
This fabulous suit was made from chocolate brown wool gabardine in the 1940s. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. Beautifully tailored seam work emphasises the shoulder line even further and the shoal collar leads to a single row of three fabric covered buttons. Mock pocket flaps add a statement detail, giving the appearance of patch pockets. Inside, the jacket is lined in sumptuous satin. The matching skirt is unlined and fastens with an original metal side zipper and button closure above.

The suit us in very good condition with only a few flaws and some slight discolouration at the underarms as pictured. There is also discolouration and some wear to the lining.
