Fabulous Original 1950s Vintage Green Striped Summer Nurse Uniform Suit WAC Women’s Army Corp
This stunning summer uniform suit was made in the late 1950s from a green and white striped cotton cord and polyester blend. It was cut in the classic style of the era with strong shoulders and a nipped waist. The notched lapel collar has been trimmed with black piping which also adorns the turn up cuffs on the short sleeves. A US military and Nursing Corps pin badge decorate the collar on each side and gold coloured military buttons fasten the jacket at the front. Functional half moon pockets add a practical detail. Inside, there is a military uniform label indicating that this is a WAC Women’s Summer Uniform used from 1958. The matching skirt is flared in classic 1950s style and fastens with an original metal side zipper and hook closure above.
