RESERVED FOR SENDI - PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE 

This fabulous coat was made from navy blue faille in the 1940s. It was cut in a classic princess silhouette with padded shoulders, a tightly nipped waist and a flared skirt. The large collar is buttoned down with a fabric covered button on the wearer’s left side and the notched labels run all the way down to the double button fastening at the waist. This creates a beautiful wrap over effect and gives a really flattering fitted shape to the coat without feeling too constricted. Beautiful princess seaming at the sides and back of the coat further enhances the stunning fit and flare shape of this piece. Inside, the coat is lined in navy crepe and has a maker’s label for Shaggy-Tex.

The coat is in very good condition with only some slight fraying at the buttonhole. One of the buttons has been stitched back on with non matching thread, however this is not visible when worn. There is also a white mark to the inside plackets and a mark near the hem as pictured. One lapel button is missing making the lapel floppy but a couple of stitches would easily fix that.
