Amazing Early 1950s Vintage Hawaiian Two Piece Swimsuit Bikini

This amazing swimsuit was made in the 1950s from cotton with a wonderful blue and green Hawaiian floral print. It was styled as a two piece with the bikini top featuring a halter neck tie string at the neck that meets the centre of the bandeau top and ruched it upwards in the middle. The matching shorts have been shirred at the back to give stretch and feature a clasped back belt that adds a gorgeous details. The shorts could equally be worn the worthier way round with the shirring and belt at the front. String ties on each side of the shirts allow the leg height to be adjusted to suit the wearer.

Waist: 26” with the belt closed, up to 33” with shirring stretched

Hips: 32-38”

Rise: 13”

The swimsuit is in good condition, however there is some age foxing inside as well as some seam stress as pictured and the shirring at the waist is a little loose.
