Original Vintage 1920s 20s Silk Drop Waist Dress And Jacket Ensemble

This stunning ensemble consists of a silk dress with black polka dots and black, red and yellow stripes, together with a black crepe jacket. The dress has a v-neckline highlighted with a stripe panel, which is also repeated as a horizontal band emphasising the drop waist. The rest of the front of the dress is adorned with black polka dots, whilst the back is fashioned of plain cream silk. Below the waistline, the skirt has slightly more volume created by pleats. The ensemble is completed with a long rayon jacket with a linked double button fastening, plunging neckline and functional patch pockets at the hip.

The dress is in good condition, however there are a number of small marks and a pinhole to the front bodice of the dress as well as a small tear close to the hem. There is also some faint colour transfer near the neckline and to the back of the dress as pictured. This is much more noticeable against the white mannequin than it is against the skin. The jacket is in very good condition with only some wear along the turn up line of one of the cuffs.
