Super Rare 1940s Original Vintage Beige Khaki Ski Suit With Reversible Jacket
This super rare ski suit was made from heavy cotton canvas in the early 1930s it was cut in the classic sportswear silhouette of the period with gathered peaked shoulders and a gently fitted waist. The sharp collar leads to a single row of five buttons which fasten the jacket and matching buttons adorn the large functional patch pockets at the waist. The sleeve cuffs are tightly fitted with button fastenings which allow a slight billowing if the sleeve above. Amazingly the jacket is reversible with a lighter buttercream shade on the inside. The lighter side features a zipper pocket at the bust, mock pocket flaps at the waist and a five button fastening. The matching ski pants are fully lined but not reversible and feature zippered slit pockets. The pants fasten with an original metal side zipper and toggles on each side allow the waist to be cinched in. There are black stirrups at the foot to secure the pants inside your ski boots and inside the pocket there is a maker’s label for White Mountain Ski Wear.
