Rare Original 1920s Volup Vintage Rust Orange Silk Jersey Sweater With Beautiful Art Deco Beadwork
This wonderful top was made from rust orange knitted silk jersey in the 1920s. It was cut in the classic loose fitting silhouette of the period with fabric ties on each side of the waist to tailor the fit. The round neckline, sleeve edges and hem have been highlighted with simple rows of beading. However the real design statement is the intricate beadwork that adorns the bottom half of the garment with huge circular beaded discs.
This piece is intended to be loose fitting and due to the style will be suitable for a range of sizes. We have shown below the maximum sizing, please make sure you are at least a couple of inches smaller for comfortable fit.
Bust: 44” stretching to 48”
Waist: 34” but can be tied smaller with the side ties
Length: 21”
The sweater is in good condition with only a few professional darns, mainly on the back, as pictured.
