This exceptional sweater was made in the late 1920s / early 1930s from iridescent knitted silk in a wonderfully rich copper hue. It was fashioned in the classic slim but loose fitting style of the period and features the most beautiful lace knit detailing. The high boat neckline allows the geometric panels of lace knitting they adorn the jumper to truly shine and the short sleeves have been beautifully finished with a loose macrame style knit edge.

The sweater is in very good condition however there are a few slight pulls to the fabric as well as a longer loose thread as pictured. We have intentionally not cut these but they could easily be turned inside the garment and woven through if desired.
