This beautiful blouse was made in the 1940s from lightweight off white fine netting. It was cut in a straight silhouette, perfect for being tucked into a skirt or trousers. The wonderful shape of the cap sleeves is mirrored in the central yolk which adorns the neckline and middle of the bodice with stunning lace. This detailing continues on the back of the piece in a square shape across the shoulders. A small collar leads to five mock pearl buttons that fasten the blouse, with a popper below the yolk panel to close the waist.

The blouse is in fair condition with repairs to both underarms and some discolouration to the inside of the collar as pictured.
