Amazing Original 1940s Vintage Bright Mustard Yellow Cable Knit Zip Front Cardigan
This gorgeous cardigan was made in the 1940s from bright mustard yellow wool. It was knitted in a beautifully textured moss stitch with wide ribs running down the length of the garment. A wide twisted cable knit devil runs down each side of the front and back of the sweater and matching detail highlights the sleeves. The fine rubbed collar can stand up or be worn down and this finer ribbed knit also features in the sleeve cuffs and hem of the piece to give it elasticity. This allow the Cardigan to fall voluminously on the bodice before nipping in for a tight fit at the hem, perfect for that iconic late 1940s look. The cardigan fastens with an original metal Lightning zipper at the front and is unlined inside.
