Original 1920s 20s Black Satin Cape With Ostrich Feather Boa And Tassels By John Orton

This wonderful flapper cape was made from a beautiful satin in the 1920s. It is an early piece by the London designer John Orton, made prior to the incorporation of his company in 1933. The piece predates the John Orton label but has the designers signature embroidered below the collar.

The collar of the piece is accentuated with a fabulous ostrich feather trim and it ties together with large yet delicate fabric tassels. Contrast stitching brings some emphasis to the hem of the cape.

The cape is in good condition throughout with only some balding to one of the beads at the top of the tassels.
