Super Rare Original 1920s Vintage Periwinkle Blue Chiffon Flapper Dress With Hold Lamé Lace

This exquisite dress was made in the 1920s from featherlight periwinkle blue crepe. It was cut in a simple sleeveless style and the straight silhouette of the flapper era with a low drop waist. The drop waist has been accentuated through shirring on either side of the front and back of the hip. The fabric falls in beautiful pleats from these shirred section which terminate into large lamé lace insert panels that add a wonderful detail to the dress. A long chiffon tie drapes elegantly across the back of the dress with the ties falling all the way to the hem. The dress is unlined and would benefit from being worn with a slip underneath. 

Please note that the dress does not have any openings and slides on over the head. It is intended to be loose fitting rather than fitted to the body, please take this into account and ensure that your measurements are at least 2 inches smaller than the garment sizing below.

The dress is in good condition, however there are a number of marks (mainly at the sides) and some tiny frays as pictured. These may lift with specialist dry cleaning but care needs to be taken with the lamé panels during cleaning. Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, the dress needs to be worn with care.
