This fabulous coat was made in the late 1040s from red and black flecked boucle wool. It was cut in by a classic swing coat silhouette with strong shoulders and a loose fit below. The decorative shoulder ornaments further enhance the shoulder line and highlight the sharp dagger collar. The coat fastens with four buttons at the front and has functional slit pockets at the waist. The turn up cuffs finish the sleeves off beautifully and bring them to a flattering bracelet length. Inside, the coat is lined in pattered red acetate with a winterised interlining and has a maker’s label for The Moll Rose Coat.
