Exceptional Original 1940s Vintage Vibrant Chartreuse Green Red And Brown Silk Swing Tie By Lenard Stern

This beautiful tie was made from a good quality silk in the 1940s. The cravat features stylised burnt orange wheat kernels highlighted with a white border on a diagonally split chartreuse green and brown background at the shell and tail. A white silk interlining has been used and there is a maker’s label for Lenard Stern Custom Made Ties for “A Great Guy”.

The tie is in very good condition, however there is some staining to the interlining at the shell as well as a spot stain, which fortunately is close in colour to burnt orange of the pattern making it less noticeable.
