Stunning Original Late 1930s / Early 1940s Vintage Black And Gold Lamé Femme Fatale Evening Dress And Jacket
This incredible dress was made on the cusp between the late 1930s and the early 1940s from black rayon crepe that has been interwoven with threads of gold lamé. The fabric is unbelievably luxurious and has a wonderful shine when the light hits it. The dress was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the era with a nipped waist that is cinched in with the original fabric tie belt. The dress itself is sleeveless but features mock sleeves created through a floating fabric panel that attaches to the side seam giving the bust an effortlessly elegant blousy shape. Diamanté accents adorn the sides of the neckline and a sexy keyhole opening at the back gives this gown sultry femme fatale vibes. Inverted pleats give movement to the full length skirt and the matching half sleeve jacket makes a perfect cover up.
The dress has no openings and slides on over the head, so please allow room for that in the measurements below.
