Superb Original 1940s Vintage Brown And Aqua Turquoise Plaid Coat
This superb coat was made in the 1940s from wool in a vibrant turquoise and brown plaid pattern. It was cut in the classic swing coat style of the period with strong padded shoulders and a loose voluminous fit below. The large dagger collar emphasises the strong silhouette and leads to ten buttons in a double breasted configuration which fasten the coat. Functional slit pockets add a practical element and huge turn up cuffs finish off the wide cut sleeves perfectly. the pattern matching in the back is simply exquisite and inside, the coat is lined in crepe and bears the maker’s label for Shama.

The coat is in very good condition with only a small repair and some faint marks as well as some slight discolouration to the lining as pictured.
