Super Rare Original 1940s Volup Vintage Grey And Red Gabardine Ski Jacket
This incredible ski jacket was made in the late 1940s from warm grey gabardine. It was cut in the classic sports coat style of the period with rubbed knit storm cuffs and a belted waist below the bright red faux fur collar, cream panels depicting a skiing scene add a wonderful detail to the top of the bodice. The red accent are mirrored in the storm cuffs and the functional slit pockets and a long original metal zipper fastens the jacket at the front. Inside, the coat is lined in quilted copper satin and has a maker’s label for Sport Chief. This is a real stand out garment and a rare piece of period ski wear.

The ski jacket is in good condition, however there are a number of marks, small holes, repairs, some grubbiness near the zipper and some discolouration to the lining as pictured.
