Stunning Original 1940s Vintage Red Double Breasted Fit And Flare Princess Coat
This incredible coat was made in the 1940s from rich red wool. The coat was cut in the classic fit and flare silhouette of the period with strong padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a flared skirt. The collarless neckline further emphasises the super strong shoulders and turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. Clever darting and goring at the front and princess seams at the back tailor the coat perfectly to the wearer’s shape. It fastens with six buttons in a double breasted configuration as well as a single button at the neck. Inside, the coat is lined in burgundy satin and does not have any maker’s labels.

The coat is in good condition with only a few grazes and some wear around the buttons and buttonholes as pictured. There is also some discolouration to the satin lining.
