Magnificent Early 1940s Wartime Vintage Full Length Navy Blue Princess Coat With Eagle Buttons
This fabulous coat was made in the 1940s from blue faille. It was cut in the classic fit and flare silhouette of the period with padded shoulders, a nipped waist and a full length flared skirt. The super sharp notched lapel collar leads to six stunning fabric covered buttons with gold eagles in a V shaped double breasted arrangement. The simplicity of this piece gives it a real understated elegance that allows the strong silhouette to really shine. Inside, the coat is lined in rayon and still has its original shape paper manufacturing label, indicating that it has been minimally worn if at all.

The coat is in very good condition with only a few marks as pictured. There are also some seam splits and fraying as well as discolouration to the lining at the shoulders, likely from a metal hanger.
