This fabulous cape was made in the 1930s from black wool. It was cut in a flattering shorter length, ideal for wearing over an evening dress or even over a plain black coat to transform it into a super rare cape coat. The cape fastens with a hook at the collar and gently drapes over the wearer’s shoulders. It has been adorned with beautiful soutache embroidery on the collar and following all along the edges of the garment.
Due to the style, the cape is very flexible in size.

The cape is in good condition, however there are a few nibbles and holes as pictured which could be patched with fabric from the underside of the collar.
