This fabulous jacket was made from black corduroy in the 1940s. It was cut in the classic shorter length swing coat style of the period with padded shoulders and a loose fit below. The collarless neckline has been rounded off at the top and the coat is intended to be worn open at the front with no fastenings. Large patch pockets add a stylish detail and inside, the coat is lined in grey rayon.

The coat is in very good condition with only some minor surface wear and some discolouration and damage to the lining as pictured.
