Stunning Original 1930s Vintage Black Crepe Asymmetric Princess Coat With Peaked Shoulders
This fabulous coat was made in the late 1930s from rich black wool crepe. It was cut in the classic silhouette of the period with stunning strong padded and peaked shoulders and an asymmetrical fastening. The high collarless neckline highlights the shoulders beautiful and gorgeous seam work shapes the coat to be gently fitted at the waist. A single button at the neck and a tie at the side of the waist fasten the coat and the skirt flares out gently to add wonderful movement. Inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous black satin with a warm wool interlining. It has a hidden pocket where the lining meets the coat as well as a National Recovery Board tag.
