This stunning coat was made from sumptuous black cotton velvet in the late 1930s. It is cut in the classic early wartime silhouette with fabulous gathered puff shoulders and a nipped waist. A small rounded collar leads to a row of eleven buttons which fasten the coat at the front. The skirt falls in beautiful pleats given a lovely bit of volume to the coat. Inside, the coat is unlined and without maker’s labels.

Length: 40” plus 1” hem
The coat is in very good condition with only a few marks as pictured.
