Wonderful Original 1940s Volup Vintage Cream Plaid Boucle Short Swing Jacket Coat
This stunning coat was made in the late 1940s from cream boucle wool with a black plaid pattern. It was cut in the classic shorter length swing style of the period with padded shoulders and a loose fit below. The small notched lapel collar creates a high neckline and the jacket is open at the front. Huge turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully and small pockets add a practical element. Inside, the coat is lined in cream rayon and has a maker’s label for Lynmead of London.
