Original 1940s 40s Vintage Brown Celanese Rayon Blazer With Great Pocket Details By Handmacher
This stunning blazer was made in the made 1940s from a brown celanese fabric (a proprietary blend of rayon and acetate). It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with lightly padded shoulders and a nipped waist. A notched lapel collar leads to a single row of four brown buttons. Matching buttons have been used to adorn the unusual triangular functional pockets and turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves. A cute V cut out adds an interesting design element to the hem. Inside, the blazer is unlined as it is intended for summer wear and bears the collectible maker’s label for Weathervane by Handmacher.
