Exquisite Original 1940s Vintage Forest Green Studded And Belted Suit Blazer By Forstmann
This exquisite blazer was made in the 1940s from rich green wool. It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with strong padded shoulders and a nipped waist. The waist is further cinched in the original gold studded fabric belt. The tailoring on this piece is just incredible with a shoulder yolk emphasising the strong shoulder line and running in a strong triangular shape to the waist, drawing the eye to the geometric shape of the garment. Below the belt, the hem flows into a gentle peplum at the front and a flattering bustle at the back. The small sharp collar and five large fabric covered buttons finish off the jacket beautifully. Inside, it is lined in copper faille and has a maker’s label for Forstmann.
