This amazing hat was made in the 1940s from super soft and sumptuous dark brown fur felt. The hat was fashioned in the classic wide brimmed fedora style of the period that was worn at a jaunty angle for added drama. A Petersham hat band adorns the crown and finishes with a trail of loose ribbon. Inside, there is a grosgrain hat band for protection marked with Feutre veritable (real felt) and a paper label size 55 / 4.
Size: 20 1/2” measured along the inner hat band but as the hat perches, it fits me comfortably at 21 1/2”
The hat is in good condition, however there are a number of moth grazes mainly on the underside of the brim but also a couple on the top of the crown and the upper brim as pictured.
