Fabulous Original 1940s Vintage Khaki Olive Green Volup Swing Coat By Hershelle Model
This stunning coat was made from soft olive green wool in the 1940s. It was cut in the classic swing style of the period with padded shoulders and a loose voluminous cut below. The large collar is accented by two oversized gold buttons and runs down into long plackets. The coat is open fronted with no fastenings and large pockets at the hip add a practical element. Sculptural seam work gives interest to the back of the coat and turn up cuffs finish off the sleeves beautifully. Inside, the coat is lined in sumptuous gold satin and has a maker’s label for Hershelle.
Bust: 40” with edges meeting but as it is intended to be worn open could accommodate up to 48” bust
Shoulders: 19” from edges of shoulder pads

The coat is in very good condition with only a few very minor flaws as pictured.
