A wonderfully rare novelty print dress from the 1940s, made in fluid cold rayon that drapes beautifully on the body. The print is a real standout: playful dancing figures in white scattered between bold candy-coloured spots in pink, yellow and white, set against a deep navy ground. Charming, characterful and genuinely hard to find in this quality.

The dress is finished with a tiered peplum at the waist, front and back, adding lovely movement and structure to the silhouette. Short sleeves and a slim self-belt complete the look, keeping the shape neat through the waist while the peplum does the talking.

Condition

The dress is in very good condition with only a few minor flaws as pictured. The backing of the original belt is breaking up and would benefit from replacing. There is a faint stain on the front visible in the video but we cannot get this to show up in photographs or in person.
