This incredible hat was made in the 1940s from brown felt. It was fashioned in the classic fedora style of the period with a wide brim and an unusual square centred crown. A wide brown Petersham ribbon decorates the crown and finishes in a decorative wired flourish. Inside, there is a hat ribbon and elastic to hold it in place.
As the hat perches on the wearer’s head, it is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The fedora is in good condition, but the wired flourish needs a little glue to hold it together again.
