Gorgeous 1940s 40s Original Vintage Black Corde Clutch Bag With Geometric Details

This fabulous bag was made from black cord in the 1940s. It was styled in a classic clutch shape with a gently scalloped top tapering down to a slightly smaller flat bottom. The front of the bag has been decorated with  two large geometric squares with decreasing square shapes of cord within as well as a swirly top edge. The back mirrors the geometric square motif but with some added stitching to delineate a central diamond shape. The clutch has a central zipped pocket with a large gold metal pull and an open compartment each side of the zipped pocket. All the compartments are lined in rayon and there is no maker’s label.

Size: 8 1/2” wide at top, 5 1/2” wide at bottom, 4 1/2” tall and 1/2” deep (fits an iPhone 11 comfortably in the zipped pocket for reference)

The bag is in very good condition with only some slight wear at the top edge as pictured.
