This unusual hat was made in the late 1930s / early 1940s from rust orange felt. It was fashioned in a classic cap style that perches in the head and a large feather flourish decorates the side of the piece. Beautiful topstitched detailing adorns the top of the hat and inside, there is a Petersham ribbon hat band. This hat would look simply adorable perched jauntily on the head and pinned in place.
Due to the perching style, this hat is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The hat is in very good condition with only a small nick in the fabric and a broken feather as pictured.
