This stunning hat was made in the 1920s from pleated natural straw. It was fashioned in the classic cloche style of the period that sits low on the wearer’s head (apologies, our mannequin head is a little too large to do it justice). The edge of the small brim has been trimmed with black Petersham ribbon and a matching hat band adorns the crown and has been accentuated with red and yellow ribbon. Inside is a fabric hat band stamped with the maker’s label for Ouvray.

The hat is in good condition with only a little nick in the straw and some wear to the outer band as pictured.
