This fabulous hat was made in the 1930s from black crepe draped tightly over a sturdier felt base material. It was fashioned with a low crown and a small brim adorned with beautiful pinwheel pin tuck detailing. A large hat band sits at the base of the crown and comes to a V shaped point at the back. Inside, the base felt is visible and there is a makers label for Janyne Paris on the inner grosgrain hat ribbon.
Size: 20 1/2” measured at the hat band but fits my 21 1/2” head comfortably due to the shallow crown
The hat is in very good condition with only a few slight pulls to the crepe (mainly at the hat band) as pictured.
