This unusual hat was made in the 1950s from sumptuous black satin. It was fashioned in a classic cap style that perches in the head with multiple overlapping swirled panels. A large feather flourish decorates the side of the piece and inside, there is a Petersham ribbon hat band. This hat would look simply adorable perched jauntily on the head and pinned in place.
Due to the perching style, this hat is suitable for a variety of head sizes.
The hat is in very good condition with only some wear to the inside lining as pictured.
